I don't think so for many many reasons.
1. It likes to wage price wars, lowering prices drastically and immediately, that it is considered a betrayal of previous buyers (before the discount). It also reduces the resale value of the cars.
2. The problem of shortage of parts. Consumers have to suffer from waiting for parts, especially body parts. There are cases in Thailand where it is claimed that waiting for parts can take up to 8 months.
3. People still trusting in Japanese products and don't trust in Chinese products, and also avoiding Chinese products. Car consumers still value stability, reliability, brand image and nationality (of the brand) image more than the technologies in the car. Chinese cars are still highly despised, especially on social medias, but Japanese cars are not.

And the winner goes to DONGCHEDI again!!! And I find it is interesting to know... Why Dongchedi was able to get many real Chinese cars onto the US roads despite the Trump administration being so anti-Chinese-products. --h0ngcom.
It is Alaska. He knows the Alaska test result (the Dalton Highway challenge). The 8 Chinese cars out of 12 passed the test. The ninth car has accident (crashed), not malfuntion or energy empty, but it passed the test too so in fact it is 9 cars passed the test.
CF50W23 plate on this Yangwang U8 looks like a Californian temporary plate and there is no data for it (can't check about it on California license plate lookup websites. "Looking up"? Huh? That is the meaning of the Yangwang word.)

For me, Dongchedi is a BYD killer because its tests usually show/reveal how suck BYD is. And in this time, it kills BYD again.
Voyah Free went out third due to energy empty before the end point.
Other 8 cars (9 cars if the Tank 400 is included) reached the end point. Some of them are fuel empty and battery almost empty.
Fangchengbao Bao 5 is almost went out, because it got tire damage too but, of course, it has a spare tire at its back.
(If this Fangchengbao has no spare tire, Fangchengbao driver can't do this impromptu fix, and it will be elimimated too, and then this test will makes BYD cars look the worst because all of Yangwang, Denza and Fangchengbao are eliminated. Whoever wins... BYD loses, because it has two cars eliminated and one car almost eliminated, especially the very expensive YANGWANG has malfunction, making it "killed" from the test, shame on it!)

ตามที่มีการแจ้งข้อมูลในสื่อสังคมออนไลน์เกี่ยวกับประเด็นเรื่องผู้สูงอายุ 60 ปีขึ้นไปที่ตาย ทายาทได้ 3,000 บาท ส่วนข้าราชการบำนาญ ได้ 30,000 บาท จาก พม. สำนักงานพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ ประเด็นดังกล่าวนั้น เป็นข้อมูลเท็จ
กระทรวง พม. โดยกรมกิจการผู้สูงอายุ ให้การสนับสนุนการสงเคราะห์ในการจัดการศพตามประเพณี ตามโครงการสนับสนุนค่าจัดการศพผู้สูงอายุตามประเพณี ดำเนินการตามประกาศกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ มีงบประมาณในการช่วยเหลือ ช่วยเหลือเป็นเงินรายละ 3,000 บาท
ผู้สูงอายุที่เสียชีวิตซึ่งเป็นข้าราชการบำนาญจะไม่มีคุณสมบัติในการลงทะเบียนเพื่อสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ ส่งผลให้ไม่สามารถขอรับการสนับสนุนได้ ทั้งนี้ สามารถดูคุณสมบัติได้จากโครงการลงทะเบียนเพื่อสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ ปี 2565 : https://welfare.mof.go.th/
– คุณสมบัติ
(1) อายุเกิน 60 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป
(2) สัญชาติไทย
(3) ผู้สูงอายุที่มีบัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐ เว้นแต่ผู้สูงอายุที่มีคุณสมบัติตามเกณฑ์บัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐแต่ยังไม่มีบัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐหรือยังไม่ได้ลงทะเบียนให้ผู้อำนวยการเขต หรือนายอำเภอ หรือกำนันหรือผู้ใหญ่บ้าน หรือนายกเทศมนตรี หรือนายกองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล หรือนายกเมืองพัทยา หรือประธานชุมชน
เป็นผู้ออกหนังสือรับรองการสงเคราะห์ฯ ตามประกาศฉบับนี้รวมถึงผู้สูงอายุอยู่ใน ศพส. สถานสงเคราะห์ สถานดูแล สถานคุ้มครอง หรือสถานใด ๆ ของรัฐหรือองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น ที่ดำเนินการในลักษณะเดียวกัน ซึ่งจัดการศพตามประเพณีโดยมูลนิธิ สมาคมวัด มัสยิด โบสถ์
– สถานที่ยื่นคำขอ ยื่นคำขอในท้องที่ที่ผู้สูงอายุมีชื่ออยู่ในทะเบียนบ้านหรือ ภูมิลำเนา ในขณะถึงแก่ความตาย ดังต่อไปนี้
(1) จังหวัดอื่น : พมจ. หรือที่ว่าการอำเภอ หรือสำนักงานเทศบาล หรือที่ทำการองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล หรือศาลาว่าการเมืองพัทยา
(2) กรุงเทพฯ : สำนักงานเขต
– เอกสารยื่นคำขอ
(1) ใบมรณบัตรของผู้สูงอายุ
(2) บัตรสวัสดิการแห่งรัฐของผู้สูงอายุ
(3) บัตรประจำตัวประชาชนหรือบัตรอื่นที่ออกโดยหน่วยงานของรัฐที่มีรูปถ่ายและเลขประจำตัวประชาชนของผู้ยื่นคำขอ
– ระยะเวลายื่นคำขอ
ยื่นคำขอภายในกำหนดหกเดือนนับตั้งแต่วันที่ออกใบมรณบัตร
– งบประมาณในการช่วยเหลือ
ช่วยเหลือเป็นเงินรายละ 3,000 บาท

The news clearly said it is a CNG / NGV car explode.
Many fake news use CNG/NGV or LPG car explode video to said it is "EV explode", "Chinese EV explode" or "Chinese car explode".
I think this video is likely to be use to make fake news too, since it is a clip from China or a Chinese clip, it is easy to use that kind of video to make people believe in "EV explode", "Chinese EV explode" or "Chinese car explode". People will stereotyping, hating, fearing and avoiding Chinese cars/products.
