ตามที่มีข่าวปรากฏในสื่อต่างๆ เกี่ยวกับเรื่อง ยาพาราเซตามอลมีส่วนผสมของไวรัสแมคชูโป ทางศูนย์ต่อต้านข่าวปลอมได้ดำเนินการตรวจสอบข้อเท็จจริงกับ สำนักงานคณะกรรมการอาหารและยา (อย.) พบว่าประเด็นดังกล่าวนั้นเป็นข้อมูลเท็จ
หลังจากที่มีการแชร์ขอความเตือน ให้ระวังการใช้ยาพาราเซตามอลที่ชื่อว่า p/500 ที่เป็นยาออกใหม่ ลักษณะเม็ดสีขาว เคลือบมันจนเป็นประกาย และหมอแนะนำว่ายานี้มีส่วนผสมของไวรัสชื่อ แมคชูโป ซึ่งเป็นไวรัสที่อันตรายร้ายแรงชนิดหนึ่งของโลก ทั้งนี้สำนักงานคณะกรรมการอาหารและยา (อย.) ได้ชี้แจงถึงเรื่องดังกล่าวว่า ยาที่ถูกแชร์นั้นเป็นยาที่ผลิตจากประเทศ***** ไม่ได้ขึ้นทะเบียนและวางขายในประเทศไทยอย่างแน่นอน ส่วนประเด็นเรื่องไวรัสแมคชูโป ซึ่งเป็นเชื้อที่ไม่สามารถเจริญเติบโตได้ในที่แห้ง การที่จะปนเปื้อนเชื้อดังกล่าวในยาพารานั้นจึงมีความเป็นไปได้น้อยมาก
สำหรับผู้บริโภคในประเทศไทย ขอให้มั่นใจว่าสามารถรับประทานยาพาราเซตามอล (Paracetamol) ได้ตามปกติ เพราะการผลิตยาในประเทศไทยต้องใช้หลักเกณฑ์ และวิธีการ ตามมาตรฐาน GMP ในการควบคุมคุณภาพ และมาตรฐาน อีกทั้งยังมีการกำกับดูแลทั้งก่อนออกสู่ตลาด และหลังออกสู่ตลาด และหากพบว่ายาใดมีการปนเปื้อนของสารอันตราย ไม่ปลอดภัยในการใช้ ทางอย. จะเรียกเก็บยาคืน และแจ้งเตือนให้ผู้บริโภคทราบโดยเร็ว
ดังนั้นขอให้ประชาชนอย่าหลงเชื่อข้อมูลดังกล่าว และขอความร่วมมือไม่ส่ง หรือแชร์ข้อมูลดังกล่าวต่อในช่องทางสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ต่างๆ เพื่อให้ประชาชนได้รับข้อมูลข่าวสารจากสำนักงานคณะกรรมการอาหารและยา กระทรวงสาธารณสุขได้อย่างถูกต้อง สามารถติดตามข้อมูลได้ที่เว็บไซต์ www.oryor.com หรือโทร 02 5907000
